The District

The 2nd District

A hardworking small business owner and employer, Luke Puckett is running for Congress in Indiana's 2nd Congressional District, a swing district that has the potential to determine the majority party in the next Congress. Luke is energized about bringing his message of common sense solutions for health care, national security, and economic challenges to the communities that he hopes to represent. One of Luke's first priorities when elected will be to advocate for a two year ban on earmarks until the process can undergo serious and meaningful reform.

The Second District is located in North-Central Indiana, stretching from Elkhart in the East to Michigan City in the West.  The northern border begins at the Indiana-Michigan State Line, traveling south to the bottom of Carroll County, grabbing a small portion of Howard County in Kokomo.  Excluding the three metropolitan areas of South Bend/Mishawaka/Elkhart, Michigan City, and Kokomo, the make-up of the district is mostly rural family farmland.  All-in-all, the eight full counties and four partial counties encompass a wide array of voters, value systems, and expectations of their elected officials .
